SEXUAL PERVERSION
GOD’S
WORD IS CLEAR IN CONDEMNING HOMOSEXUAL AND LESBIAN ACTIVITIES – ONE MUST DENY
GOD’S WORD IF THEY SUPPORT SUCH IMMORAL PERVERSION.
In Romans chapter one, verses 18
– 32, we read:
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be
known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible
things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the
things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God
into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and
creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their
own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God
into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed
for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women
did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men,
leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with
men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their
error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God
gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being
filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness;
full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God,
despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without
understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who
knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not
only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
In the Old Testament book of
Leviticus, chapter 18, verses 22 - 26, wherein God was giving His law to the Nation of
Israel, we read:
“Thou
shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie
with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast
to lie down thereto: it is confusion. Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for
in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled:
therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her
inhabitants. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit
any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that
sojourneth among you: ----“.
In Leviticus chapter 22, verses 13
– 22, God speaks more about homosexual immorality and other sexual immorality:
“If a man also lie with mankind,
as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be
put to death; their blood shall be upon them. And if a man take a wife and her mother, it
is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no
wickedness among you. And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and
ye shall slay the beast. And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto,
thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood
shall be upon them. And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his
mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked
thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his
sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.”
In the New Testament, in I
Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 9 – 11, we read words that teach us that Homosexual
and Lesbian conduct is not condoned by God and that there can be no such thing as a
“Homosexual or Lesbian Christian” after one has been born of God’s Spirit.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not
deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers
of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are
washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by
the Spirit of our God.”
Again, in I Timothy chapter 1, verse
8 – 11, Paul the apostle condemned “them that defile themselves with
mankind”.
“But we know that the law is good, if a man
use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the
lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for
murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them
that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and
if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious
gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.” |
